Integration architecture for systems that have to keep talking.

Ordinex helps organisations understand, de-risk and modernise the integrations between their ERP, CRM and legacy platforms, before those integrations become the reason a programme stalls.

An integration landscape: ERP, CRM, legacy services and partner APIs connected through an integration layer, with one flagged risk on a legacy link. Most programmes find out what their integrations really do when something breaks. Discovery finds out first.

What we do

Three services, one specialism. Every engagement focuses on the connections between systems: what they carry, how reliably, and what it would take to change them safely.

  • Integration discovery and health checks

We map what is actually running: services, scheduled jobs, stored procedures, file transfers and the dependencies nobody wrote down. You get an evidence-backed landscape report and a scored risk register, including security and POPIA exposure. The work follows OIDM, our structured discovery method.

    • Scored risk register
    • Readiness assessment
  • Integration architecture and API strategy

We design integration platforms and APIs that hold up in production: secure partner access, sensible product tiers, clear error handling and infrastructure defined as code. Our depth is in the Microsoft stack.

    • Service Bus
  • Legacy integration modernisation

We take ageing integration estates, such as WCF services, Windows services and logic embedded in SQL Server or Oracle databases, and plan a safe route to a modern platform. That means migration playbooks, transformation mapping and a sequence that keeps the business running throughout.

How an engagement runs

Short, scoped phases with a clear output at each step. You can stop after any one of them and still have something useful.

  1. Discover

Inventory the integrations and gather the evidence: code, configuration, schedules and the people who know them.

  2. Assess

Score the risks, flag the blockers and say plainly what is fit to carry forward and what is not.

  3. Design

Define the target architecture, the patterns to standardise on and the order to change things in.

  4. Deliver

Guide the build with your team or delivery partner, and hand over documentation that outlives the engagement.

About Ordinex

Ordinex Consulting is an independent integration architecture practice based in Cape Town. It was founded by Johannes Zeilinga, a solution architect with around 30 years in IT spanning software development, ERP implementations and enterprise integration across Microsoft and Oracle platforms.

We work directly with organisations and alongside delivery partners on Dynamics 365 and Azure programmes. The aim is always the same: fewer surprises at go-live, and integrations your team can understand and maintain.
